When We Were Bright and Beautiful

I lack the words to adequately describe the depth of feelings I experienced reading this. From anger to compassion to absolute confusion and repulsion, this book transported me deep into my feelings and back out repeatedly. I truly could have read another hundred pages gladly, but still felt mostly satisfied by the end. A haunting work of art.
