While I accidentally read this first instead of the actual first two, I still enjoyed it as a standalone. With that said, I do prefer the tropes featured in the first book, so I plan to go back and read that! Featuring a dominant female is unusual in mainstream smut, so that was a pleasant surprise and the heat was there, but some of the writing seemed juvenile and the switching dynamics left some confusion. Overall, a good starter spicy romance.
