Context: I’m a hockey fan and I haven’t watched the series. As a novel, I strongly disliked the execution. I would’ve loved more story-building rather than the jumping through the timeline. The scenes were hot and the characters are loveable and hateable, but the seemingly lazy writing ruined it for me.
