Harlem Shuffle

As much as I wanted to enjoy this one after loving Whitehead’s other books, it took me 6 months to read it and I generally read a book like this in less than a week. The protagonist was lovable and relentlessly ambitious, but the plot was too busy to enjoy. It finally caught my attention near the end before an abrupt ending.
